5 x Chocolate Cake
So today was Samuel's Birthday... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I decided to be a little more creative this year and got this cake recipe from his sister, and then found this frosting recipe from Hersheys.. YUMMY!! it was a big hit. But it is very intense, for Chocolate lovers only!! Its called 5x Chocolate cake because there are 5 different Chocolates in it! (The 5th is just grated chocolate sprinkled on top)
CAKE--
Ingredients:
- 1 package Devil Foods Cake Mix
- 1 (5.9 oz) Package Instant Chocolate Pudding
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large bowl, mix together the cake and pudding mix, sour cream, oil, beaten eggs and water. Stir in chocolate chips and pour batter into a well greased bundt pan
Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until fork comes out clean. Cool cake throughly in pan at least an hour and a half before inverting onto a plate.
CHOCOLATE FROSTING-
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 2/3 cup baking Cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add small amounts of additional milk if needed. Stir in vanilla.

I have to admit I am not the creator for most of these recipes! Most of these come from friends or the Foodnetwork, and other websites. I usually tweak it, but i get them from other sources. THANK YOU OTHER PEOPLE,but please... use them, circulate them, make them your own. Just make sure you give the credit to the right person, which isn't always me!
