Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

I think the title says it all... YUMMY!!! these turned out so good... i made 64 loaves of them. yes, i did say 64 loaves. They were small loaves, but they all turned out beautiful! Go it from Betty Crocker

Ingredients:
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- 15 oz pumpkin puree (1/2 of a big can)
- 1 bag chocolate chips

I am not very good at following directions exactly (especially when it comes to separating the liquids and powders... so here is what i did and it worked! (I luckily had a Kitchen Aid this weekend i borrowed from a friend)

Pour softened butter and sugar into bowl and mix until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, into bowl and mix well. Add water and pumpkin puree and mix through. Then add cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and baking soda. (the real directions say to mix them separately with the flour before adding... i made like 8 batches of this so i was trying to save time and dishes). When mixed through add flour and then chocolate chips. (of course i just left the kitchen aid on through all of this and added everything while it mixed)

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 mins for large loaves. Or i made small loaves and they took 35-40 mins. It makes either 2 large loaves or 8 of the smaller loaves.

I have to admit I am not the creator for most of these recipes! Most of these come from friends or the Foodnetwork, and other websites. I usually tweak it, but i get them from other sources. THANK YOU OTHER PEOPLE,but please... use them, circulate them, make them your own. Just make sure you give the credit to the right person, which isn't always me!
